About Rounds
Rounds is a collection of short daily medical games built around clinical reasoning, pattern recognition, and imaging decisions. Each game releases one shared case every day at midnight EST, and every released case stays in that game’s archive to play any time.
The four games
- Reportle — Guess the diagnosis from a radiology report revealed one line at a time.
- Labdle — Recognize the diagnosis as laboratory results are progressively released.
- Red Flag — Identify the dangerous diagnosis hidden within a common presentation.
- NextScan — Choose the most appropriate imaging study for the patient.
Accounts are optional
You can play every game without an account; guest progress is stored locally on the device you play on. A free Rounds account keeps your completed cases, streaks, and statistics in one place across all four games. Because each game may run on its own domain, you sign in once on each site — the results all land in the same account.
Educational content
Every case is fictional teaching material with no real patient data. Cases are created and checked through an internal medical education editorial process — reviewed for clarity, accuracy, answer defensibility, and educational value before publication. This is an internal editorial process conducted by the Rounds team; it is not independent faculty, physician, or peer review. Rounds is for medical education only — it is not clinical decision support, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional judgment and local guidelines.
Created by medical students
Rounds was founded by Yazan Saleh and developed with a team of Medical Education Editors who are second-year medical students at the University of Toronto. The team creates and refines short daily cases across radiology reports, laboratory interpretation, clinical red flags, and imaging selection.
